Bing now takes into account your location and what websites you’ve visited in the previous.

Microsoft announced the search engine Bing now takes into account the location and history of the users which influences the way in which results are ordered. This will provide more accuracy to its users, for example when a user searches for a Hotel, the engine will assume you’re looking for the nearby hotel to where the search was made which will prioritize the results in that category.

I think this feature is also available in Google because I have noticed that most websites that I visit often appear more in my search results. I think the software Chrome itself inspects the users activity for this purpose.

"Our research shows that users commonly re-issue such navigational queries and the intent of that user rarely changes," the post said. "This new personal search feature uses this human behavior as its core premise - if Bing thinks a user is trying to 're-find' a site, the relevant result is promoted to the top position on the page."
