Which ecommerce software is best in your eyes?

I never used it, but I heard Magento is really good.

Magento is magnificent, but as far as I have tried it, It is for advanced webmasters.
So we left with zencart and related open sources.

Magento is definitely the ultimate CMS for web store applications. It's really good with lots of features any website store owner can dream of having. Yes, Magento is a very complex CMS and expensive. The way it's structured and the usage engineering can cause lot's difficulties especially for beginners.

In some cases it is not the best solution, it can take the client a very long time to learn how to use and that can sometimes be a problem. Need to have some experience PHP as well as it would be difficult for any average person to setup like wordpress, even if he/she could it would be impossible to make any major changes.

Magento definitely gets my vote despite the above. It's very professional with lot's of useful tools.

I would also go for Magento. This is the best ecommerce software used these days specifically for building ecommerce web design solutions.
